First Class Merino Hoodie | Men | Black

After having for years worn hoodies from a well-known merino wool company, I decided to give this one a try and am so far very pleased with it. The wool is a bit thinner than my others but is very soft and not itchy at all. I’m 5’5 and about 125 lbs and bought the size 0 because I like my hoodies to be fitted. I would say it fits pretty true to size for an XS. The sleeves are a bit tight but since I usually wear it with a thin merino base layer, that’s not really a problem, but if tight sleeves bother you, you might want to size up. The details appear to be high quality, and the zippers are black and sturdy. One of the reasons I got this particular hoodie is because the pockets have zippers, and I was worried that they might look overwhelming, but I do not find that to be the case. Merino’s Achilles’ heel can be that it tends not to be particularly hard-wearing, so I’ll have to see if this holds up better than some of my other hoodies, but I’ve been wearing it for about a week and so far no pilling. My only suggestion for Aviator would be to start offering these hoodies in sizing specifically designed for women.

Size 3 fits me perfectly at 39" chest, 31" waist, 6'1, 155 LBs

The wool feels amazing and the oversized hood is perfect for face coverage down to the nose when sleeping in cold weather camping. The hood is so long that it can also be wrapped to protect the front of the neck when it gets windy.

Product suggestion: Would love to complement my travel wardrobe with a hoodless track jacket version in the same wool! Hoodless would be more practical/comfortable when layering a rain shell over it or wearing a backpack and constantly taking the backpack on/off.
