In order to extend the life-cycle of your garments, it is essential that you take good care of them.

Washing your clothes too often can have a negative impact on their quality while putting pressure on the environment and your wallet.

Merino Wool Care

• WASHING

• Zip up all zippers and turn the garment inside out.

• Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle/delicate cycle with cool water.

• Use wool-specific detergent or a neutral detergent without enzymes or bleach.

• Never use fabric softener.

• Lay flat to air dry. Do not machine dry.

TRAVEL WEAR & PILLING

Merino wool may develop some pilling with wear, particularly in areas exposed to repeated friction. How much develops varies with use and travel conditions.

• Backpack contact points: Repeated rubbing from shoulder straps and hip belts can cause pilling or surface wear.

• Minimize friction: For extended backpack wear, consider a protective outer layer over your hoodie and adjust straps to limit rubbing.

• What to watch for: Some pilling can occur at underarms, cuffs, and backpack-contact areas. Pilling and fabric damage are different. If you notice thinning, holes, or unusual wear, contact us for help.

Best Travel Jeans

Denim garments should be washed infrequently for them to last longer. Ideally, you can go months without washing them.

Try to make a habit of spot cleaning stains immediately instead of using the washing machine.

When you do wash your jeans:

Wash by hand, or in the machine with cool water. Machine dry on medium or air dry (Our denim dries approximately 25% faster than cotton jeans.)

Dark Indigo Jeans

"I love the rich color of dark indigo but, how do I prevent the natural indigo from bleeding?"

Here are 3 simple steps that are sure to help...

1.  Soak your jeans in cold water with one cup of white vinegar.  An hour or two is great but don't be afraid to let them soak overnight.

2.  Throw them right into the washing machine and wash them with cold water and add another cup of white vinegar, and some laundry detergent. We recommend Woolite Dark Defense.

3.  You can then either air dry them or dry them on medium heat in the machine

That's it! Feel free to repeat these steps if necessary.

Wash by hand. If needed, machine wash inside out with cool water. Air dry only. Do not machine dry.
