    British Castles and Cliffs

    Aviator:

    Jesse Hart

    Where did you last travel?

    United Kingdom and Ireland

    Highlights and/or must see locations:

Wild Atlantic Way and Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, Edinburgh Castle in Scotland, Thornbury Castle in England

The Cliffs of Moher is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ireland. It's also appeared in many well-known films, such as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Princess Bride.

The park's highest point is Arthur's Seat, an ancient volcano, which sits 251m above sea level giving excellent view of the city; it is also the site of a large and well preserved fort. This is one of four hill forts that were built over 2000 years ago.

Tips and tricks for fellow travelers:

Packing light was the key to being able to travel to so many places on our trip in a compressed timeframe. If you are not allergic or have no issues wearing wool, I highly recommend leveraging the advantages of merino wool shirts and socks to pack even lighter.

    Food/drink recommendations:

Tolbooth Tavern in Edinburgh was great, as was The Table in Southwark (London.)

The Tolbooth Tavern is a traditional Scottish pub on the Royal Mile, serving beers, ales, fine malts, and amazing Scottish food with live entertainment on Saturday nights.

Which Aviator products did you wear and were they helpful?

Medium Dark Indigo Jeans. They were perfect. Just lightweight enough to be comfortable on the warmer days, and rugged enough that there were no issues hiking up Arthur’s Seat or along the Irish coast and being comfortable. The extra zippered pockets made a huge difference as well, as I could keep euros and pounds available and separated without getting in the way of my everyday carry items.
